Melissa Whitney was excited at the support. She began to talk excitedly of an idea that just came to her about an executive resume. She said it would blow away any other executive resume ever done by another living being. The handsome stranger listened in wrapped attention to all her resume fantasies. Melissa Whitney suddenly realized that she couldn’t keep referring to him as “handsome stranger” and asked his name. “It’s Bob” he said. Melissa Whitney considered this a bit of a letdown, since this name would not stand out on a resume. She told him that she would create an acting resume for him and give him a much more exciting name. Bob beamed at her. He had always wanted an acting resume. They made their way back to the hotel so Melissa Whitney could work on his resume. Bob went and immediately turned on the TV and kept quiet while Melissa Whitney worked on his acting resume. When it was completed, she went to show him his brand new acting resume, but he said, “shhhh…I’m watching The Simpsons! I didn’t think they’d have it here! Bart’s talking in French! Watch it with me!” Melissa Whitney was upset, since she had worked very had on his acting resume. She decided to pour her misery into her work and also made Bob a perfect executive resume. When his resume was completed, she was sure that Bob would want to see his new executive resume and immediately go out to find a job, which he would surely find quickly with both an acting resume and an executive resume done by the resume queen. Bob had fallen asleep in front of the TV. She woke him up. He complained that he didn’t want to look at the executive resume and that he took a nap at this time every day and unless he got a three hour nap daily, he couldn’t function, much less go out and look for a job with his new acting resume and executive resume. Melissa was heartbroken. She called room service and ordered pizza and flan. When the man from room service came with her food, he noticed the golden computer and knew Melissa Whitney instantly as the resume queen. He told her that he wanted to be an actor and asked if she could build an acting resume. Melissa Whitney, ever the smart woman, quickly changed the name on the acting resume she did for Bob and showed it to the room service guy. He wept. He told her that with this acting resume, he would become a major star. He took her hand and said that she was his good luck charm and must take her with him, so that as he got more acting jobs, she could update his acting resume. Melissa Whitney explained that she was through with relationships. He explained that would not be a problem, since, with his new acting resume, he would be trying out for musicals.
